Madhubani Painting is chiefly made by rural artists in the Madhubani district of Bihar and is traditionally painted on walls, paper and cloth.Originally a decorative art used on the walls of houses in villages, it has turned out to be a popular art form and is now being painted on Saris, wood and various other bases. Madhubani painting depicts various themes, like Hindu Gods, scenes from villages as well as plants and animals.
